Matthew Weaver is researching and writing two books:
- Adapting a Practical Style Guide. This is a comprehensive document style guide for common business and technical documents. It includes information and tools necessary to create consistent, high quality documents across a company or organization. Adapting a Practical Style Guide is more than a simple style guide as it offers detailed how-to on to plan the style guide effort, assess needs, develop the style guide and supporting resources, implement the style guide, and sustain it successfully. As Matthew writes in the book, “This book is successful if you do not finish it with the question: “Well, that’s a nice idea but where do I start and what should I include?”
- Adapting a Practical Project and Development Methodology. This book distills a methodology that integrates best practices that include, but are not limited to, the Project Management Institute’s Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK), the Software Engineering Institute’s Integrated Capability Maturity Model (Continuous Representation; CMMI), the International Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) collection of standards and guidelines, and the International Standards Organization’s ISO-9000:2008 Quality Standard.
